It’s all about you, Deal with it!
IT IS ALL ABOUT YOU!!! Say it out loud, it is the truth. Not only is it the truth, it is the key to unlocking a more satisfying life, better relationships, more money and overall health and happiness. Now, many of you may have apprehensions about continuing even this first paragraph do to the nature of nothing more than this book’s title. Focusing all your attention on you seems like a bad thing does it not? We have several words for this, take your pick; selfishness, narcissistic, egotistical, self-important, ect. Conditioning from parents, friends, schools, advertising, politics and even our religions, have conditioned us to focus LESS on ourselves and more on others. It is time stop and redirect all that effort that you waste on others back onto yourself, all in order to offer a better life-output.
Now before we go any further let’s take a look at how attention has been pulled away from you and onto others. Here in the U.S.A. we live in a very confusing place sometimes. We are constantly seeking the acceptance of others, such as our parents, employers, co-workers, teachers, our kids, hell even that guy or girl sitting across from us in the coffee shop. More accurately you could say we don’t seek acceptance as much as we just don’t want people to NOT like us. We wake up in the morning, shower so we don’t smell around others. Brush our teeth, fix our hair, shave or do our makeup, so when people look at us they will be pleased with what they are looking at. Get dressed being sure that our clothing will make us more accepted by others we will be surrounded by today. And so on, and so on, and so on. There seems to be this constant cycle of wanting to please or be accepted by others through almost everything we think, say and act.
